Abstract

Dichloromethane extraction of the branches and leaves of a young Heteromorpha arborescens�plant (known as parsley tree or muthatha-vhanna in Tshivenda) resulted in the isolation of an�anti-inflammatory coumarin, 6,7-dimethoxy-2H-chromen-2-one.
